Fortnite Fans will finally be able to “undo purchases” soon

Fortnite Battle Royale fans have been asking for an “undo purchase” option for the Item Shop in order to put a stop to accidental purchases, and a staff member at Epic Games has finally commented on the matter.

Since Fortnite Battle Royale is a free to play game, Epic’s main source of revenue for the game is through the Item Shop which offers new cosmetics each day.

Players can purchase cosmetic items through the shop for real world money, however, there is no purchase confirmation which can lead to accidental purchases.

There is currently a system implemented that will refund players up to three purchases, but some players may have already used them.

There hasn’t been an official announcement on when v9.10 will drop, but we expect the patch to arrive next week around May 14.

Fortnite’s refund system will still operate as normal, but this feature is to help prevent accidental purchases.

Some other changes are expected with the next patch, including the damage inconsistency from the brand new combat shotgun

TSM Daequan streamed the new Fortnite Battle Royale season on May 10 when he was able to basically prove that the new combat shotgun is “broken in a bad way.”
